It was a million-dollar affair for American actress Tori Spelling when she wed actor Charlie Shanian in 2004. The dual-faith ceremony — Spelling is Jewish, Shanian is Christian — took place at the bride’s father (Aaron Spelling’s) 56,000-square-foot mansion in Los Angeles. The theme was a Roaring Twenties “Great Gatsby” one.
The bride wore a beaded Badgley Mischka gown costing $50,000, along with a diamond and platinum headband. There was a cocktail reception by the pool before the party moved to a rose-covered gazebo where chef Wolfgang Puck served 350 guests beet and goat cheese napoleons and herb-crusted lamb. The couple spent around $100,000 on their wedding rings and flowers and partied on until late in the morning. The next morning, Shanian’s family organized a barbecue at the Hotel Bel-Air. The two are now divorced.
