The Dow Jones industrial average rose 40 points a day after it jumped 170. That rally was also in response to stronger economic and earning news.

Upbeat reports on home construction and production at factories helped lift the market.

The financials were on fire today as BAC & C went up by 3+%.

After market closed Wednesday, HP reported better than expected result. HP shares rose 39 cents to $50.51 in after-hours trading.
