英诗汉译 Shakespeare Sonnet 8

这首诗的第一句的汉语意思是“你人如一曲优美的音乐（人人爱听）， 为什么当你听到音乐却很忧伤？”。  这句很难压缩成一个诗句， 因此我想到了文言， 并按此思路完成了翻译。

Sonnet 8 by William Shakespeare Music to hear, why hear’st thou music sadly? Sweets with sweets war not, joy delights in joy: Why lov’st thou that which thou receiv’st not gladly, Or else receiv’st with pleasure thine annoy? If the true concord of well-tuned sounds, By unions married, do offend thine ear, They do but sweetly chide thee, who confounds In singleness the parts that thou shouldst bear. Mark how one string, sweet husband to another, Strikes each in each by mutual ordering; Resembling sire and child and happy mother, Who, all in one, one pleasing note do sing: Whose speechless song being many, seeming one, Sings this to thee: ‘Thou single wilt prove none.’

【1】 In Shakespeare's time a typical lute has 6 courses, each course is composed by two strings.  The strings in each course are typically tuned in unison or an octave (相差八度).   A string can cause the other string in the same course to resonate.
